Do you remember the beautiful uplifting film Pay it Forward?
The idea behind it was that one person did something extraordinarily lovely for a stranger (preferably so they didn’t know who had performed the lovely act).
The idea was that instead of returning the favour, they had to do something special for another stranger.
Paoulo Coehlo’s new book had this idea weaved through it - he refers to it as the favour bank - where we store credits and exchange the wonderful energy of giving and receiving.
We are all aware of the Law of Karma
- as you sow so shall you reap and in this world of violence and hatred present climate of unrest our little acts of love and kindness can make a profound difference to the atmosphere of the world.
The wonderful thing about performing random acts of kindness is that it brings a smile and a warm glow to others but it also you get a wonderful feeling inside.
If you feel inspired to perform a random act of kindness today you will be making one step to bring peace, love and positivity into the world (and there won’t be a red lentil in site!) You don’t just have to do something lovely for a stranger – you can also do something special for someone you know.
